Yet another story about the wedge the DOJ is driving between companies and their officers/directors. This bears close watching over the next few years. I understand why Enron and WorldCom are prompting new enforcement tactics. But I don't think we want to reach the point where large numbers of corporate officers in the US think of their companies as fair weather friends. As I've commented before, we also don't want corporate agents to view corporate attorneys with distrust.
